Privacy Policy

Pollroom (“we”) is a ChatGPT plugin operated by Shrithan Devaiah. This policy explains what we collect when you use the plugin or open a page it creates, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• The poll you create: its question, description, options, settings and deadline.
• Each vote: the options picked (or the ranking), and a name only if the poll asks for one.
• Options that voters suggest, when the organizer allows suggestions.
• A cookie on each voter's browser holding a random id, so they can change their vote on that poll.
• With each vote, a one-way hash of the voter's IP address and browser type, salted with the poll id. We use it only to discourage the same device from voting many times. It cannot be turned back into an IP address and is not linked across polls.
• An anonymized ChatGPT user identifier that ChatGPT sends with each request. We use it only to recognize the organizer and to limit abuse. It does not reveal your name, email, or account.
• Messages you send through our support form, including an email address if you choose to give one.

We do not ask for, and you should not enter, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, health information, or passwords.

How we use it

Only to provide the feature you asked for: storing what you created, showing it to the people you share the link with, and returning results to you in ChatGPT. We do not sell data, show ads, build advertising profiles, or use your content to train models.

Who can see it

Anyone with a share link can see the page behind it. Organizer-only actions need the organizer’s ChatGPT account or the private admin code. Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, stores and serves the data for us. ChatGPT (OpenAI) sees the tool inputs and results that pass through your conversation, under OpenAI’s own privacy policy.

Retention

Each poll, with its options and votes, is deleted automatically 60 days after it closes, or 90 days after it was created if it never closes. Support messages are deleted after 12 months. Rate-limit counters expire within a day.

Your choices

You can ask ChatGPT to delete anything you created, at any time, and it is removed immediately. To request access to or deletion of any other data, use the support form.

Children

The plugin is not directed to children under 13.
